CA Certification Program Participant Agreement

Please carefully review the following information before enrolling in the Constructed Awareness® Certification Program.

1. Eligibility and Prerequisites

The Certification Program is designed for mental health professionals who have completed Constructed Awareness® Levels One and Two.

Participants must be licensed mental health professionals or meet the Institute's applicable professional training eligibility requirements, including appropriate graduate-level preparation, supervised clinical experience, and an active psychotherapy caseload.

Completion of both CA Levels One and Two is required before beginning certification.

2. Certification Requirements

Participants agree to complete the following requirements to earn the designation Certified Constructed Awareness Clinician (CCAC):

  • Complete CA Levels One and Two before enrolling.

  • Participate in 12 hours of small-group CA consultation.

  • Audit an additional Level One training.

  • Audit an additional Level Two training.

  • Complete a CA-related project that contributes to the exploration, development, or sharing of Constructed Awareness®.

Certification is awarded upon successful completion of all program requirements.

3. Consultation Participation and Scheduling

Consultation consists of 12 one-hour sessions with Tyler Orr and one other clinician pursuing certification.

Sessions generally take place every other week over approximately six months and are conducted live through Zoom.

Participants may enroll with a consultation partner already identified or request assistance with partner matching.

The Institute will work with Tyler and both consultees to coordinate a shared schedule. Partner matching and scheduling may take a month or longer.

Participants agree to communicate scheduling needs in a timely manner and make reasonable efforts to attend their mutually scheduled consultation sessions.

Consultation may include clinical case discussion, instruction, experiential practice, personal reflection, and individualized feedback. These activities are intended for professional education and consultation, not personal psychotherapy.

4. Professional Conduct and Participation

Participants are expected to approach consultation, training audits, and other certification activities with professionalism, mutual respect, cooperation, and consideration for the learning experiences of others.

Participants agree to respect professional boundaries, engage responsibly in experiential learning, and remain attentive to the impact of their participation on others.

If conduct significantly disrupts the learning environment or compromises participant safety, confidentiality, or professional boundaries, the instructor may address the concern directly and establish expectations for continued participation.

Serious or repeated concerns may result in dismissal from the program, subject to applicable program policies and law.

5. Confidentiality

Participants agree to protect the confidentiality of all personal and clinical information shared during consultation, training audits, and other certification activities.

Client information must be appropriately de-identified in accordance with applicable professional ethics, privacy requirements, and licensing obligations.

Participants may discuss confidential case or experiential material only in appropriate professional contexts and with individuals authorized to receive that information.

Audio or video recording of consultation sessions, practicum activities, or other participants is not permitted without explicit authorization.

Breaches of confidentiality may result in removal from the program and other appropriate action consistent with professional obligations and applicable law.

6. Program Fees and Payment Arrangements

Each participant enrolls individually in the complete Certification Program.

The program fee includes all 12 hours of consultation, both training audits, and participation in the CA-related project requirement. There are no additional program fees.

Participants may select one of the following payment options:

  • Pay in Full: $997

  • Monthly Payment Plan: Six monthly installments of $175, totaling $1,050

For participants choosing the monthly payment plan, the first installment is due on the date of the first group consultation session.

If that initial session is rescheduled before consultation begins, an updated payment schedule will be provided.

Once consultation has begun, the remaining monthly installment dates remain in effect even when individual consultation appointments are rescheduled.

Participants selecting the payment plan agree to the full $1,050 program cost and the installment schedule provided by the Institute. Monthly installments represent payments toward the complete program, not fees for individual consultation sessions.

7. Cancellation and Refund Policy

Cancellation requests submitted at least 14 days before the first scheduled consultation session are eligible for a refund of amounts paid, less a $100 administrative fee.

No refunds are available within 14 days of the first consultation session or after the Certification Program has begun, except where otherwise required by law.

All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing from the email address used during registration to info@constructedawareness.com.

Any remaining financial obligations following withdrawal will be addressed according to the participant's payment agreement and applicable law.

8. Continuing Education Credit

The Certification Program itself does not award continuing education (CE) credits. Consultation hours completed toward certification are not eligible for CE credit.

Any continuing education credit offered for separately attended CA trainings is governed by the applicable training's requirements and approval information.

9. Technology and Accessibility

Consultation sessions are conducted live through Zoom. Participants are expected to have access to a reliable internet connection, a functioning camera and microphone, and the ability to participate in the online consultation environment.

Participants are welcome to communicate any accessibility accommodations or participation needs that may support their learning experience.

Disclosure of a mental health diagnosis is not required as part of the registration process.

10. Acknowledgment

By selecting the agreement checkbox, I acknowledge that I have read and understand the CA Certification Program requirements, participation expectations, payment arrangements, confidentiality responsibilities, and cancellation policies outlined above.

I agree to participate in accordance with these terms and understand that certification is awarded only after all program requirements have been successfully completed.
