Learning Objectives:

By the end of this event, participants will be able to:

  1. Explain how awareness supports change in Constructed Awareness (CA) and how this principle applies in counseling practice.

  2. Identify and describe CA’s three building blocks of experience (thoughts, sensations, and external perceptions).

  3. Discuss current published research on CA and its relevance as a trauma-informed counseling model.

Target Audience and Course Content Level

This training is an introductory-level event designed for

  • Licensed mental health professionals, including psychologists, psychoanalysts, psychiatrists, social workers, marriage and family therapists (MFTs), and mental health counselors.

  • Unlicensed therapists pursuing licensure.

  • Mental health professionals seeking advanced continuing education credits.

This training requires no prerequisites or prior experience with CA.

Presenter Bio

Tyler Orr, Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC/MHSP), is the creator of Constructed Awareness® and President of the Constructed Awareness Institute. Tyler integrates mindfulness, nonviolence, nonduality, and process-oriented approaches in his counseling, consulting, and teaching, offering mental health professionals a unique approach to advanced trauma processing.
